Pony club

The pony club season has started successfully with one unmounted and 2 mounted rallies. There has been a increased interest in pony club this year and the club has welcomed four potential new members. An open day is to be held on Saturday 12 November and all interested people are welcome to attend, but are asked to contact Mrs Cooper, head instructor, on 3858 466 for details of place and time especially as rallies are weather-dependent. Ohakune' s annual tetrathlon will be held on Sunday 4 December and will also include a mini triathlon for those who are not horse riders but would like a challenge with a difference. The event includes cross country running, air rifle shooting and swimming. A shortage of air rifles could restrict the number of entries so any offers of the loan of air rifles would be appreciated. Both events are primarily club team events but there is an individual option if club members cannot find a minium of four for a team. There is no maximum team number. Programmes and enquiries from Mrs Cooper. See classifieds.
