The fourth round of the current competition saw a drop off in numbers with only four tables in action. There was some good-na-tured banter going on between the north/south pairs and at the end of play Ron Martin and Heather Cranston took the lead with 54.18%. Ron Frew and Brian Eades scored 50.50% to secure second place for the night. There was less of the banter and more conseryative bidding in the east/west direction, which saw some games not being bid and one slam being misbid by all but one pair. Doug and T ephanny Bennett Won the east/west direction with 61 .68% and in second place on 61.32% were Mark Hays and Bob Tumataroa. The competition which was being run on the three best of four unhandicappedscores was won by Ron Frew and Brian Eades with a score of 1 85 . Doug and Tephanny Bennett were second with 178.54 and inthird pl ace was Bob T umataroa with 178.13.
