Judges impressed with sports entries

The inaugural RCL Ruapehu District Sports Awards has attracted ahigh standard of nominations from throughout the Ruapehu District. Spokesperson Graeme Cosford said the judges met last week to evaluate the 40 nominees in the nine categories. Seven of the nominations had achieved international status by representing New Zealand in varying sports. The official Awards Dinner will be held on Friday 11 November in Taumarunui.
