Charter march at A&P Show
A charter ceremony to mark the Freedom of the District for the 4th Logistic Regiment based at Waiouru could take place at the Waimarino A&P Show in Raetihi next February. The Waimarino Community Board agreed at their last meeting to the move, provided the A&P Show committee approved: The regiment has been offered the Freedom of the District by the Ruapehu District Council, with subunits becoming associated with the various towns in the district. 4th Supply Company — a sub-unit of the regiment — has been associated in the past with the regiment, and Raetihi "now has the opportunity of formally associating itself" with the unit, said mayor Garrick Workman.
