Spectacular car fire
Ohakune Volunteer fire fighters quickly douse a flare-up from a burning Citroen car at the Turoa Village on Friday. A Brigade report was not available yesterday, but it seemed the car caught alight after its fuel tank came into contact with iive electricity wires from a damaged supply box (in foreground). No-one was hurt in the spectacular blaze, but the car and the load of the occupants' luggage, was extensively damaged.
