Club championship results: Women's Open; Robyn Pratt successfully defended her title beating kath Craig ion the final 9/6, 9/1,9/5. Mens open: John Laurenson also successfully defended his title an exciting final beating Allan Pratt 10/9, 10/9, 9/6. Other finals results were: Ungraded mens; Richards :Lewer beat James Ennis, ungraded women's; Mary Cranston bt Trish Eves, F grade mens; Warren Hyslop bt kenneth Young, F grade women' s; Karen Hughes bt Yvonne Triggell, E grade mens; Darren Triggell bt Greg Brown, E grade womens; Trinette Mott bt Erin Workman, primary junior boys winner, Duane Marsh, primary junior girls, Hayley Mackay. Junior boys; Darren Triggell bt Warren Hyslop, junior girls Kaye Murdiebt Vanessa Parker. Other awards presented; most impro ved mens ; J ason Whale, most improved women's; Karen Hughes, most improvedjunior; Warren Hyslop, most improved ladies morning; Maryanne Thrupp. Top NZ Squash players in Ohakune this coming Friday. Wayne Werder will be playing Daniel Murphy in a
demonstration game at Ohakune courts at 7.30pm on Friday 14 October. The Ohakune squash club is sponsoring their trip here so that local players can see top NZ players in action. There will be a $2 door charge to go towards the costs. Wayne Werder is a professional squash player ranked 4th in the country. He is one of only 6 A1 squash player in the country. He will be offering coaching clinics for anyone who is interested on the Saturday morning - contact GrahamRumble or Trinette Mott to book.
