Men-o-Men on show

Man o Man, that raunchy, totally sexist show that sees women reduced to wolf-whistling yobos reminiscent of the depths to which men are known to stoop, is on during the Ohakune Spring Fest next week. Ten men will put themselves on show for some great prizes including an Air New Zealand Great Escape, a five day ski pass, five days of ski hire dinner for two at the Top of The Club Restaurant and a case of Montana wine. The show is on Friday night, 30 September, starting 7.30pm. The $20 ticket covers the floor show, a glass of bubbly on arrival and supper. Tickets are limited and are available from Peak FM offices, the Information Centre and the Ohakune Club and the Truck Stop in Waiouru. Men wanting to compete are asked to contact the Top of the Club restaurant or Sue Allomes, 385 8799. The show will take a similar format to the television programme but without the pool. An "alternative, original arrangement" will be made for the knocked-out contestants. Ten contestants will compete through four events — an act of their own choosirtg, Karaoke, four questions from the audience, and one surprise event. Proceeds from the event are to go to the Ohakune Karioi Rugby Club Centenary (who are expected to provide some of the contestants).
