Water a worry

Why is it that Ohakune' s water is starting to taste off? It used to be the best tasting water around - though apparently hazardous to

your health. But now it alternates between chlorine-tasting muck and mud-tasting muck. Is it perhaps a case whereby T aumarunui council people, who have to put up with even worse water, believe ours is better so its good enough?
