Hot Lava proprietor replies:

In reply to Mr Poelman's letter last week, I must accept that sometimes the vein of advertising for Hot Lava is crass and puerile, but it is all done in the best possible taste and with a light-hearted attitude. I' ve nothing against gays, although I find some of their sexual preferences mildly distasteful. I' ve nothing against

preachers apart from the fact that most of them presumptuously declare a personal and intimate relationship with the bloke who invented the universe. And as far as old men with heart conditions — well I'll be one myself soon! Don't take life too seriously mate — you're not going to get out of it alive anyway.

Paul Beckett.
