Election of Community Boards Public notice, pursuant to Section I0IZR of the Local Government Act 1 974, is hereby given that the Council resolved at its meeting held on 19 August 1 994 as follows:1. Subcommittee meeting is to be held on Wedsnesday 14 September I994 at 2pm in the Meeting Room, Miro Street, Ohakune. Speciai Order: Ruapehu District Works Loan I994$3.364.000 Public notice is hereby given that at its meeting held on 19 August 1 994 the Council resolved by way of Speciai Order pursuant to Section / 1 6 B of the Local Government Act I 974 to raise the above loan. The Speciai Order will be submitted for a confirming resolution at the next Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Huia Street,Taumarunui on Friday 30 September 1 994 commencing at I lam. The purport of the Speciai Order resolution is to raise and make provision for repayment of the loan which is to upgrade District drainage systems in Ohakune and Raetihi, flood protection in Ohura, upgrade District water supplies in Taumarunui and Ohakune and upgrade District refuse facilities. The cost of servicing the loan for water supply works in Taumarunui and Ohakune will be met by ratepayers whose properties are connected or capable of being connected to the Taumarunui or Ohakune Water

Supply Schemes. The cost of servicing the loan for Ohura flood Brotection and istrict refuse facilities will be met by the general ratepayer. The cost of servicing the loan for drainage works in Ohakune, Raetihi and Pipiriki will be met by ratepayers whose properties are connected or are capable of being connected to the Ohakune, Raetihi or Pipiriki sewerage reticulation systems. Copies of the resolution to be confirmed are deposited at Council Offices and Libraries in Taumarunui, Ohakune and Raetihi and are open for inspection by the public during the normal opening hours of those Offices and Libraries. Attention is drawn to Section 34A of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1 956 which provides that no demand for a poll of ratepayers shall be of any effect unless the number of valid signatures to the demand is equal to or greater than 15% of the number of separately rateable properties on the valuation roll that are within the District and further that every person who signs a demand for a poll of ratepayers under this section shall state against the signature the person's name and the address in respect of which that person is entitled to sign the demand.
