Advertising offensive

• I find that Hot Lava's advertising regarding the act 'Too Hot to Handle' ( Ruapehu Bulletin 30 August) offensive. Stateing 'gays, preachers, old men with heart conditions beware!' is to me both derogatory and demeaning. The '90s have brought about a lot of changes in the world, long held divisions amongst people seem to be breaking down. Yet here in Ohakune we still have attempts to sterotype people into desirables and undesirables. In summary I found the advert crass and puerile and more than a little disappointing coming from one of our communities' leading entertainment venues.
