Staff exchanges

Fifteen staff at Whakapapa are taking up work exchanges later this year with four skifields in Canada and the United States. The exchanges have been organised with the Northstar and Heavenly Resorts at Lake Tahoe in the United States and Lake Louise and Blackcomb in Canada. Whakapapa lifties, groomer operators, ski instructors and shop staff will head to respective resorts in December and work through until April. The exchange gives staff the opportunity to work through the New Zealand off-season and catch up on trends at international fields as well as fostering closer co-operation between Whakapapa and its counterparts in the northern hemisphere.
