Playcentre opens the doors

Waiouru Playcentre held an open day last week to familiarise those new to the area with what the centre has to offer. The local police truck and fire brigade put on a show for the children with flashing lights and water-power. Those keen enough were taken for a ride. Normal Playcentre activities were set up and children took advantage of the fine sunny weather to play outdoors in the sand-pit and the water play area. The playcentre offers a wide range of activities for young inquiring minds including puzzles, blocks, puppets, clay and paint - to name a few. The centre is expecting its new kitset outdoor playground very shortly, which will add to the already extensive range of play equipment at the centre.
