Junior science fair standards high
Ruapehu College science department staff were impressed with the standard of entries in this year's junior science fair. Head of Department Shelagh Buck said that all 16 entries were of a very high standard, with some excellent results achieved. The winning entry entitled 'MakingPaper' wasby Sarah Lind and Jenny Murdie. Second place went to Megan Windle, Carina McNie and Karen Kyle with 'Bacteria'. Third place was shared by Joanne Lough,
Jessie Ryland, EileenVoon (acid and alkaline testing), and Janelle Martin with
Margaret Mowat ('Talcum Powder'). Highly commended:
Bryan Grossart, Brendon Morgan, Aaron Fredericksen; commended:
Vicky Beech, Steven Sue, Tipene Mareikura, Shiloh Mareikura.
