Maori radio station folds

Ohakune' s home-grown radio station Iwi FM ceased to exist as of last week, with equipment being removed from the Clyde Street office on Friday.

The Bulletin understands that the reason for the closure was due to a lack of funding and the station has ceased transmission indefinitely. Listeners can still tune in to 9 1 .2 Iwi FM transmitting from Wanganui for local and regional news and information.
