Whakapapa supports Taumarunui High School

The Taumarunui High School Maori Cultural Performance Group is more than $5000 better off thanks to the support of Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, operators of Whakapapa Ski Area. The money will be used to assist the group to travel to Japan for the Jaijima New Zealand Festival in Hidaka

in August. On presenting the cheque to the school, RAL general manager Dave Mazey, said that he was impressed by the standard of their performance and the professional standard of their sponsorship proposal. The sponsorship is a community sponsorship and recognises the long-

standing relationships between Whakapapa Ski Area and the people of Taumarunui.RAL also donated a season pass which was auctioned off to raise more money for the group.
