School works cash
Raetihi Primary School and Ruapehu College are included in a recently announced list of schools receiving money for deferred works projects and capital works. Raetihi Primary School receives $4000 for cladding replacement and $15,000 for sewerage upgrading, while Ruapehu College receives $125,000 for flooring replacement and $60,000 for toilets upgrading. In announcing the release of the money, King Country MP and Prime Minister, Jim Bolger, said $1 ,455,800 was being spent on deferred works projects and $652,000 on capital works in his King Country electorate.
