Badminton

A contingent of Ohakune Badminton players converged on Wanganui on Sunday to play in the local residentials. Although the day wasn't all Wanganui promised it was going to be, good badminton was played by all, even though games were few and far between. Along with other upsets on the day, Ohakune players managed to upset Wanganui by bringing homeprizes. Once again the club would like to thank Ned Wanoa for providing transport. Ohakune results for the day, C. grade: Jenny Murdie Ladies Singles runner up and Ladies doubles runner up. B. grade: Sarah Lind Ladies singles plate winner. Lindsay Cast Men's singles runner up. A. Res grade: Donna Cranston Ladies singles champion.

Eileen Voon Ladies singles plate winner. Ned Wanoa Mens singles winner. V aughan Becker Mens singles runner up. Jocelyn Cranston Ladies singles runner up. Jocelyn and Elayne Ladies doubles runner up. Eileen Voon combines runner up. Vaughan and New Mens doubles runner up. Vaughan and Jocelyn combines winners. Mens singles in A reserve were that close it was taken on a points count. Donna Cranston filled in and played a couple of games in the A grade. Thank you to all the parents and an apology for the lateness of the hour for getting all the tired little and even big bodies home.
