Ohakune and Raetihi Plunkets join forces
An end of an era was reached at the recent joint Annual General Meeting of the Ohakune and Raetihi Plunkets. At the meeting the members formally marked the disestablishment of both sub-branches, and held the first meeting of the combined Waimarino Branch committee. Elected to the president's position was long-serving member Cathy Home. The secretary's position was filled jointly by Jennifer Cossar and Tiffany Jefferies, with treasurer Sue Laurenson. Elected to the committee were Jane Eades, Marie Milne and Marion Bishop. It was decided that a social evening be held to celebrate the formation of the new committee, with all past and present Plunket committee members invited to attend. The event will be held 27 August, with a venue still to be decided upon. Those interested in joining the Waimarino . Plunket committee can contact president Cathy Horne, phone 385 8684.
