Badminton

Sunday 17 July was the first round of Badminton for the A Reserves. Two teams from Wanganui travelled to Ohakune to play two Ohakune teams. The Ohakune players were: Ohakune 1 - Jocelyn Cranston, Elayne Weller, Ned Wanoa and Vaughan Becker; Ohakune 2 - Shirley Shields, Lois Lind, Colin Cranston, Merv Fielding and Steve Hart. Results from Sunday' s games: Ohakune 1 bt Wanganui, 6-2; Ohakune 1 bt YMCA, 8-0; Ohakune 2 lost to Wanganui, 0-8; Ohakune 2 bt YMCA, 7-1. The next round for A Reserves in Ohakune is Sunday 31 July. The Ohakune Club would like to thank Sarah Lind and Tanya Shields for helping the YMCA out. Your help was very much appreciated; Thank You Girls.
