Classical guitarist to play here

Reknown New Zealand classical guitarist Jonathan Harper visits the Waimarino this week, with a oneoff concert at the home of Graeme Moore on Thursday night (see ad this page). The Taranaki -born musician began studying guitar at the age of 12 and finally took to playing fulltime 10 years ago after working as both a school teacher and social worker. As well as teaching, arranging and composing, he has given literally hundreds of concerts all over New Zealand, as well as touring Australia, England and Italy, playing a variety of music from Bach and Vivaldi to Jazz. Mr Harper says"I don't use my guitar to play music. I use my music and feelings to play the guitar."
