• An electric fence reel and numerous standards were taken from a paddock on Rangataua Road, Ohakune, on Tuesday 12 July. Another electric fence unit, wire and standards were taken from a Valley Road, Raetihi, property on Thursday 14 July. • Police are investigating a number of burglaries of properties in the Horopito area on Friday 15 July. A small amount of property was taken. Accident The Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade and Police attended a vehicle accident that occurred at the Tangiwai Railway Crossing at 10pm on Friday 1 5 July . A Ford Econo van belonging to Ruapehu College skidded on black ice and slid from the road, coming to a stop on a grass verge. No one was seriously injured.
