Directory art sought

Local artists are again being wooed by Telecom for phone book art, with a $2500 carrot offered. The award is won by the artist whose work provides a li vely cover and best illustrates the Wanganui community's character. Last year there were 1 20 entries from the Wanganui region. Winning artist last year was George Raymond with Welcome Cuppa. Up to 20 fmalists will be chosen and the works exhibited from 19 August to 2 September at the Wanganui Public Library . Entry forms are available from libraries.
