Birthday for Pippins

Saturday 25 May was a big day for Pippins throughout the province. Waiouru Pippins were joined by Taumarunui and Mangaweka Pippins for the 10th birthday celebrations of the Pippins. About 28 Pippins enjoyed the day despite miserable weather. Activities included face painting, craft work, games, stories and cake decorating. The day was topped off with everyone blowing out the birthday candles on their own cakes and singing 'Happy Birthday'. Pippin leader Julie Batt said she was really pleased with the turnout.
