• A 36-year old farmer was arrested on Monday 23 May after a large quantity of cannabis plant material was discovered in a rural area of Raetihi. Police confiscated over a kilo of dried leaf material, as well as a quantity of drying plants and still more plants awaiting cultivation. He will appear in the Ohakune District Court on 23 June to face a charge of cultivation of cannabis for supply. • A house in Arawa Street, Ohakune, was entered sometime between 10am and 1pm on Sunday 29 May, with a TV, video and stereo speakers stolen. A 34-year old male currently visiting Ohakune was arrested by police yesterday. He will appear in the Taupo District Court next month on a charge of theft. • A house in Miro Street, Ohakune, was entered sometime between 8.30am and 5pm on Thursday 26 May. A pair of brown dress boots was taken. • Mannell and Follick's wool store in Queen Street, Raetihi, was entered sometime on Saturday 28 May. Cash and marking pens were stolen. Police enquiries are continuing.
