ADVERTORIAL

The Waiouru Pricecutter has a new manager, Beverly Gannon. Beverly decided to make the move to Waiouru as it offered her a "step up" in her career. Beverly has worked
in foodstuffs since leaving school about eight years ago. She has recently completed her foodstuffs management course which has put her on track to "the boss's position". Her old job in Mirimar, Wellington,
involved working with over 100 staff - just "a bit bigger than here...a bit warmer too." Beverly will be in charge of four full time staff and a part timer - on a much smaller scale than Beverly is used to. Beverly said she will be in charge of the day-to-day running of the store, making sure it is running to it's full capacity. Beverly said she quite likes Waiouru and that the people are really friendly. "It seems like a close knit type of community." She said she has not experienced that closeness before. Although she knows practically no one in Waiouru, Beverly said she has her three cats to keep her company. Beverly is a keen Elvis > fan and occupies her spare time writing to ' penpals in China, Africa, England and New Zealand. Like a lot of people new to Waiouru, Beverly said she is looking forward to the prospect of snow.
