Quality service provided by Ruapehu Alpine Lifts at Whakapapa has been recognised with the presentation of a special award to the company. The King Country Taupo Business Development Board presented RAL with a Regional Business Development Quality Award at the Grande Chateau last week. General manager Dave Mazey said RAL had put a lot of effort into improving standards of service and that they would continue to develop quality systems they have in place. He said they are aware of their strengths and weaknesses and, using "total quality management", will continue to develop their facilities.
