Redoubles seems to be the thing at Bridge these days with several being bid and made. Ron Frew and Brian Eades go a couple on Wednesday which assisted them in reaching 110 pts for the evening. However they left the backdoor open and Bob Tumataroa and Mark Hays sneaked into first place north-south with 59.65%, which saw Ron and Brian relegated to second place with 59.40% Reneir Venter is learning how to play bridge and, ably assisted by Ron Martin, finished in third place with 44.23% John Eades is continuing his winning form and this week, partnered by Sandra, won the east-west competition on 65.58% The partnership of Tracy Ennis and Johanita Venter is improving each week, moving up to second placing with a score of 60.43% Third place in the eastwest direction went to Jim Cranston and Elaine Goldfinch who scored a very creditable 52.35%.
