By

Michele

Monaghan

Kenningston Street Kindergarten in Waiouru has been successful in obtaining a one thousand dollar grant from. the Waimarino Community Sports Education and Development trust, for purchasing sports equipment. Head teacher, Margie Dennehy, is over the moon. "We would never have been able to afford the luxury if it wasn't for the grant," she said. The kindy has purchased balls of all descriptions. "Big balls, hard balls, soft balls, moon hoppers...things to help with hand-eye co-ordination," said Margie.
