Road works for southern Ruapehu

• Wet weather has delayed kerbing and channelling work along Carroll Street in National Park. Work on the 200m length of road adjacent to State Highway 4 which includes seal widening is expected to be completed by 30 June. • Repairs on two flood damaged sites on Pipiriki Road near Raetihi are currently underway. The Ruapehu District Council advises that there will be minor delays to traffic and slippery surfaces near the worksites which are 7km and 11km from Raetihi. Work should be completed during June. • Raetihi Ohura Road near Raetihi at 1 1km from SH4 is having a large culvert replaced and minor alignment improvements carried out. Road users are advised there may be short delays at the site and a likelihood of slippery surfaces during the construction period. • Road widening, culvert replacement and application of road metal is being undertaken on the Wanganui River Road near Pipiriki. Short delays may be experienced while culverts are being replaced with roads slippery during road works.
