Info centre settles into new home
The Raetihi Information Centre is now operating m the doctor's building (what was the old Post Office) and is settling in very well, according to operator Noeline Churton. She said the change of location has made the local community more aware of the Information Centre as the number of locals calling in to check out what is available has seen a marked increase over previous months' figures of visitors to the centre. The committee and staff of the Raetihi Promotion Group wishes to thank John Dobson for supplying a home for the Information Centre for its first years of operation in his Seddon Street premises. "This generous donation benefited the community and enabled the Information Centre to fiinction successfully to this point in its operations," said Mrs Churton. Another change that has taken place over the past month is the introduction of a new face at the Information Centre with Wendy Culpan sharing the position of information officer with Noeline Churton. They hope to give more flexible arrangements to the work load at the centre.
