A round of meetings

It' s a right royal merry-go-round at times at council and community board meetings, but last week's Waimarino Community Board meeting topped it. They were discussing the removal of the Jubilee Park merry-go-round, which was taken away because it was dangerous because children could be dragged under it. "We've got a merry-go-round right here at these meetings," said John Compton in response to calls to replace it. "We get dragged under it pretty often too," said Bruce Dobson.
