The Marketing Subcommittee is responsible for formulating annual planning submissions of a marketing nature to Council and overseeing the implementation of those parts of the Council's Annual Plan that relate to marketing, development and public information services. The Subcommittee also provides general advice to Council on marketing matters. |F^ej Department of I I Conservation Te Papa Atawhai Hunting Programme 1994 From 9 May 1 994 the Department of Conservation is carrying out its annual wild animal control programme along the Whanganui River trench from Atene to Taumarunui. Included in this programme are parts of the Whanganui National Park, plus scenic reserves and conservation stewardship lands in the Kirikau/Te Maire, Ohura, Retaruke/ Kaitieke and Mangatiti/Ruatiti areas. Hunting will concentrate on goat populations. However domestic stock encountered in these areas after 9 May 1 994 may be destroyed, sold or otherwise disposed of as per Section 96(2) Reserves Act, Section 36 (3) Conservation Act and Section 62 (3) National Parks Act. The position is full time and runs from midJune to end of October 1 994. The main responsibility in the position is seeing to the needs of existing and new advertising clients. Other duties include preparing and producing advertisements using Apple Macintosh computer equipment and Pagemaker software; some paste-up and some darkroom work. A strong background in seiling is essential, preferably in advertising. Training in production and darkroom work will be provided if necessary.
