Club denies recess claim

A group of members of the Karioi Endurance Club are holding a special meeting later this month to discuss the future of the club. This follows an advertisement being placed by the current president of the club, Bert Jordan, stating that the club is in recess. The secretary of the club, Rosaleen Morris, said the club was not in recess as the subject has not gone through the correct chanels. The club held an annual general meeting recently, but she said Mr Jordan did not attend and that he kept in his possession the club's books. "We have had a great response from our members and new members," said Mrs Morris.
