The competition was open to all senior school students. The theme was cycle and helmet safety. Senior students only were invited to enter the competition. Constable Wilson explained the \ police don't like children under the age of nine biking to school. In Ohakune the age is 10, he said. The eight winners so far , are: Lee Tran, Nikki-Lee Vine, Codie Takitimu, Shu Yunn Tran, Candice Osborne, Isaac Lawrence, Aaron Gordon and Jessica Marama. Two more winners will be announced when Constable Pete Thomas returns to Waiouru. Constable Thomas will judge the best two entries and the remaining two helmets will be awarded to the winners.
