• A 22-year old Raetihi man was arrested at about 12.30pm Sunday night and charged with the attempted burglary of OhakuneNew World Supermarket. Passersby saw the man run from the scene, gave chase and restrained him until police arrived. He will appear in Court 19 May. • A 29-year old Raetihi man was arrested on two counts of assault after Ohakune Police visited a Raetihi address during the early hours of Sunday moming. He was remanded without bail and appeared in the Wanganui District Court.
