Progress for Ohakune school centennial
The Ohakune Primary School and District High School Centennial Committee is making good progress in their plans for the celebrations at Waitangi Weekend 1996. Advertising is going out to every urban and community newspaper in New Zealand. The programme for the weekend will soon be mapped out so information can be forwarded to all interested in registering. An historical booklet is being prepared and any anecdo-
tal or other item of interest can be passed to Merrilyn George. Already locals have offered financial support and the committee is very grateful as a centennial celebration is a massive undertaking. The committed group organising this celebration expects 1000 people to attend. Mrs George said people should watch the Bulletin for on going reports and updates.
