The cream of New Zealand's top road racing cyclists, including several Olympic prospects will converge of Ohakune this Friday, 29 April, for the Green Bottle Round Ruapehu Classic Cycle Race. The event will start at the Ohakune Hotel on Friday night at 7.00pm with the DB Draught Indoor Roller Racing Championship where top cyclists will ride on rollers. Local Ohakune residents can enter and test their fitness and speed against the top riders. This promises to be a real crowd thriller. At the last race an Ohakune local Richard " Joe" Taua, came close to winning and this year there is over $2000 in cash and prizes to be won.
