Raetihi have chosen their prefects for 1994 and they are: Matthew Bishop, Samantha de Moor, Jennifer Griffiths, Emma Forster, Daniel Leary, Dallas Ruke and Llana Wara. These people will now do duties around the school for the teachers. Twelve library monitors have also been chosen and they are: Kirsten Price, Kate Woodhouse, Susan Luff, Chase Tasker, Steven Bishop, Erin Kilmartin, Purity-Rose Ruke, Linda Grave, Deena Hammond, Robert Lilburn, Nicola Leary and Adam Lehmstedt. Raetihi School is holding a book fair this week. Parents may come and buy books if they want to, in the afternoons of certain days and the library monitors will help with this event. Children from the school who do not hav? a bicycle helmet can put their names into a draw to wiri a helmet. These helmets have been donated for the children by the Police and Ken Summerhays from Starline. The police are doing a drug programme with Form One and Two children. It is called DARE which is especially written to fit in with the school health programme.
