Bowls winners
The Ohakune Bowling Club marked its closing day on Sunday with a presentation of certificates to players for exemplary performances throughout the season. Among those players were Merrilyn George (Junior 7's winner), Ray Brown, Harry Sutton and Bob McGinniss (sub-centre triples champs), and Ken George (Arnott Shield). Presenting the certificates was Bevan Tasker, the Ohakune delegate for the Wanganui Bowling Association. The closing tournament was attended by teams from Taumarunui, Manunui, Wanganui, Raetihi and Owhango.
