Turoa Tumblers quiz night on again
The annual fundraising night for the Wanganui Motors Turoa Tumblers is on again soon. This year the club is running two quiz nights: the junior quiz for 8-18 year olds is on Friday 1 5 April (keep reading the Bulletin for further details.) Spot prizes including ski hire and rollerblade hire will be up for grabs. The entry fee is $10, to go towards club fundraising. The top three teams will be invited to compete in the senior competition. The senior quiz night is Friday 29 April, at 7.30pm. Thd venue is Turoa Lodge and the group appreciates the generosity of Graham Berry for providing this facility again. The teams to watch this year are the 'Unprincipal-ed' teachers from Ruapehu College, the B.N.Z. team, and the X-Factor from Raetihi (although we are told that Benchmark could be hard (ware) to beat. The question format will be 10 rounds of 10 questions including sport, local, face the music and a new surprise category. Entry fee is $20 per team of four. The bar is open from 7pm and a good supper proyided during a break between rounds.
