Pupils have piracy penchant

Sword play, sea shanties and swashbuckling wero the order of the day during a recent project on pirates un - dertaken by pupils of Rangataua School. Abby Bennellick, Keila Biddle, Hadley Breen, Andrew Evans (the oue lying down) and Jethroe Riggins, all got into character for the project with painted eye-patches and scars, and costumes. The children wrote stories and enacted fierce battles (that invariably ended in everyone falling prey to the sword), in a week-long project .
