Pony Club news

The turn-out for the King Country Area Pony Club Games Day at Ohakune was disappointing after a lot of j hard work organising the day . The miserable weather earlier in the day did not help but by the time the games started at Ilam it

had improved considerably . The nine youngsters from the Ohakune and Raetihi branches all had a marvellous time and played six games, in teams of three for the competition and a further two for fun at the end of the day. The games were team bending, rope race, housewife's scurry, postman's chase, newspaper race, carrot picking scramble, word race, and tyre race. Points were awarded for placings in eaeh game with a very close result at the end. The colourful K.C. rosettes were presented by Mrs Sandy Ripo, the Area Secretary who supported the club for the day. Results were: 1st - Hone Brausch, Michelle Fredericksen, Fraser Seifert (13 points); 2nd: Nicola Smith, Connie Cooper, John Seifert (12 points); 3rd: Adrian Fetzer, Angela Fraser, Wayne Smith (10 points). A big thank-you is extended to all the parents and grand-parents who helped.
