Into the vast tracts of turtle territory

Calling all cars, Ohakune Kindergartens favourite friend the turtle is missing! Constable Ian "Armadillo Dundee" Harrison and his trusty tracker pooch have been on the job though, much to the amusement of many. They managed to pick up the scent quite quickly, much to the amazement of the same 'many'. But they didn't manage to find the poor lost reptile, much to the disappointment of all. To add to the story, one of the lads at the school asked a teacher in the playground - "have you seen a turtle?". The teacher said yes, then proceeded to give a general description of a turtle, their lifestyle and habitat! A big help I'm sure.
