Action women

It was action time for a group of Waiouru women recently, when the Waiouru Childcare Centre staff (friends and family) abseiled off Moawhango Dam. About 15 thrill seekers took the 100 foot and 60 foot jumps, said Sharon Boyce, assistant supervisor for the centre. Sharon didn't do the jump herself. She said it was stressful enough just watching. The centre, which has only 20 full-time children at the moment, plans to go white water rafting for their next adventure. Julia Martin, centre supervisor, said they are undertaking these activities as a form of team building. "They want to do things together. because they enjoy each other' s company", said Julia.
