Graffitti help

• Does the youth of Ohakune have a conscience? A few months ago the Ohakune Plunket clinic and various walls and signs in Ohakune were sprayed with black paint. The police got the juvenile ■ offenders to try cleaning this paint off, with not much success. Then the sprayed

paint had to be removed or covered, by the owners of the property damaged. Even the care-givers of these juvenile offenders would not contribute with labour or cash to remove the paint. I understand the Plunket clinic poses more of a problem than the painted surfaces because it is brick. The correct substance must be used to remove it. This will take more effort and cost more than just painting over the mess. As the Plunket clinic is maintained by a volunteer committee it is unfortunate and deplorable they have to deal with this problem. I am sure the Ohakune Plunket committee would welcome any assistance and advice, especially from the offenders and their families. Plunket supporter.
