A feif Ruapehu District Council Supervisory Information Officer Ohakune. A vacancy has become available at the Ruapehu Visitor's Centre for a Senior Information Officer. Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the vacancy. * Good communications, management and interpersonal skills. * Enthusiasm for Ohakune and the Ruapehu District, and its recreational assets. * Ability to effectively liaise with local tourism operators, retailers and business association. * Appreciation of the Tourism Industry. * Marketing or a Management Qualification would be an advantage. * Willingness to assist with local promotions is necessary. * Experience with management of staff would be an advantage. You are invited to lead a small team in the Visitor Centre serving the visiting public and local operators. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out a wide and interesting range of duties. This position is based in Ohakune. Applicants should be available to work some weekends.
