The equipment that cost $12,500 includes a slide, tyre bridge, wooden swing bridge and wire bridge, and tubular climbing frames. The Auckland company Timber Play supplied the equipment in kitset form. Raetihi School received funding from the Waimarino Community Sports and Development Trust, and a further grant from the Dudding Trust.
