MacLeay Duff shoot

The New Zealand Chaitered Clubs MacLeay Duff Trophy competition clay bird shoot was held at the Waimarino Gun Club on Saturday 26 February. Sixteen squads of shooters representing their chartered clubs took part in the competition. The standard achieved by the teams was very high making for a close competition. Winning team was the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club, with runners-up the Waitomo Club. Top shooter of the day went to local Trevor Taylor from the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club team. "Everyone had a really good day and all enjoyed the social evening with 'Alesys' of Taupo", said Brad Oliver, manager of the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club.
