Senior citizens Grand Chateau excursion
An afternoon's excursion to the Grand Chateau was the highlight of last week for 27 of the Waimarino' s senior citizens. The group was bussed to the Grand Chateau on Wednesday courtesy of Dempsey ' s Buses, Raetihi. On arrival they were served refreshments, followed by a guided tour of the establishment with a receptionist assigned to them for the afternoon. The receptionist spoke to the group on the history of the Grand Chateau Hotel from when it was builtin 1929 to the present time along with future renovations and changes planned.
